Short-Term Child Care
The PCC provides short-term "Drop-In" care as space permits for children of visiting faculty, lecturers, conference and seminar attendees, international guests, and University staff and students. Note that all short-term services MUST be arranged at least 24 hours in advance; please do not bring your child to the Center without having contacted the Center first.
Daily Drop-In Fees
- Infants (3-approximately 15 months): $115 per day
- Toddlers (12-35 months): $115 per day
- Preschoolers (ages 3-5 years): $95 per day
"Snow Day" Care
Additionally, in the case that the University is open when Philadelphia school-district schools* are closed due to inclement weather, the PCC may provide "Snow Day" care as space permits to children aged 12 weeks to 12 years. Preference is given tois given to benefits-eligible employees of the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Pennsylvania Health System, who are charged $15 a day.
*Children from other school districts are welcome as space permits but may be subject to daily Drop-In Care rates (above) if the Philadelphia school district is open.
To access short-term child care (both Drop-In and Snow Day), the Center must have the following forms completed, signed where appropriate, and on file, as required for licensing compliance.

- Short-Term Care Preregistration
- Emergency Contact/Parental Consent Form
- Child Health Report (download and have child's physician/medical professional fill out)
- Medical Release and Short-Term Care Agreement
